Yorkshire’s ultimate Theme Park attraction & the UK’s most visited Zoo, plus a luxury Resort Village, for fantastic family days out, holidays & short breaks.
The park, which has been part of the Yorkshire tourist scene for over 40 years, has significantly evolved in size and stature over the years, making it one of the most visited attractions in the country today, and the UK’s most popular animal collection.
New for 2016
Summer will see the introduction of Zanzibar, an energetic live production show. Based on the lives of swashbuckling pirates on their galleon ship, it will feature our sword fighting acrobatic team along with plenty of special effects. This new performance attraction is sure to become a must see, as it interacts with guests in Plaza Square intermittently throughout each day.
The second phase of extensive upgrades to Run-Gym-Swim, our luxurious leisure complex, will be completed for the start of the 2016 season. So, resort guests can now enjoy an extended swimming pool with counter-current swim jets, 2 flume slides and an infinity edge.
After the introduction of Riverside Cottages in 2015, the addition of the newly renovated Gate House further extends our brick-built Signature Collection. For those who wish to stay in a secluded, private location, The Gate House is ideal, situated just before the park entrance in the picturesque village of Kirby Misperton. We are also offering a Platinum Plus range of holiday homes for 2016 and introducing Maple Grove. This new development further extends capacity, ensuring even more guests will be able to enjoy the delights Flamingo Land has to offer.
From summer 2016 we will be introducing an all-new Rothschild Giraffe Animal Encounter. Construction of the venue is currently underway, including an elevated viewing platform. After hearing all about this spectacular, but endangered species, guests who have selected the VIP option will also be able to feed the giraffes.
Later in 2016 we are expecting the arrival of Chanua, another female black rhino, who will join mother Samira and baby Olmoti at the new Selous Black Rhino Reserve. Featuring an elevated platform with excellent internal and external viewing, this is rapidly becoming another Flamingo Land must see attraction.
